ZOI

Zoi is a small, independently run antique showroom and sourcing service based in Kyoto, founded by husband-and-wife team Kingy Hsu and Jun Hagan. Our journey began with a shared love for collecting, restoring, and learning about antiques—something we had been doing for years before deciding to turn it into something more tangible.Our work is rooted in relationships—whether with local vendors, artisans, or collectors— allowing us to source meaningful pieces and share the stories behind them. Kingy, a photographer with a background in styling and prop-making, brings an intuitive eye for storytelling and aesthetics. Jun, with a background in fashion and sustainable design is passionate about preservation and restoration.

Q&A

  • Can we book with 5people? —We can accommodate up to 4 adults, and children are welcome free of charge. However, for safety purposes, please contact us directly about the number and ages of children in your group so we can ensure the best possible experience for everyone.   • Is there a kids price? —Kids are free
  • What happens when it rains? Can we still expect some type of tours? —Unfortunately the market are usually canceled (Except for Toji.)if it rains and we’ll provide a full refund if market is canceled.
  • Is there cancellation fees ? How many days in advance should we cancel not to pay the fees? —Full refund if cancelled up to 7days before the experience starts (local time)
  • Is there anything to eat or drink on the cite?—It varies from each market. Kitano and Toji have some street food vendors. Heian Market have coffee and drinks vendors, food vendors are there depending on season. All markets have surrounding restaurants that we will be able to recommend.
  • Can purchased items be shipped including the things we bought at the market? What are the fees of the service besides the shipping cost?—yes, anything under 2kg is ¥500 + shipping cost. For shipments over 2 kg, we provide a custom quote to ensure the most suitable and cost-effective shipping option. Additionally, larger or more delicate pieces that require custom crating may incur additional fees based on the materials and handling required. Let us know your items' details, and we'll be happy to provide an accurate estimate.
